In August 2022, Tartarus acquired most of the MAAS underground hire fleet, making it one of the largest in Australia. Our combined fleet includes underground trucks, loaders, jumbos, agitators, work platforms, concrete sprayers and support vehicles from leading brands like Sandvik, Caterpillar, Epiroc and Volvo.
In addition to providing our mining partners with an extensive range of high quality hire equipment, Tartarus Underground Hire is owned and supported by the Pope Group (Adrian Pope), an integrated group of companies that specialise in the overhaul, refurbishment, and on-going maintenance of underground mining equipment.
